New Expedition Destination — Siberia

Siberia, Sakha Republic (Yakutia) — Land of Power and Ancient Traditions

A journey to one of the most remote and extraordinary regions of Siberia — guided by a seventh-generation practitioner of Sakha shamanic traditions.

Yakutia, officially the Republic of Sakha, is located in the north-east of Russia. It is one of the largest and least populated regions on Earth, famous for its extreme climate, endless taiga, powerful rivers, mountains and untouched wilderness.

Yakutia is home to the Sakha people, whose culture, beliefs and traditions have been preserved for centuries. Here, nature is not simply a landscape — it is an essential part of life, spirituality and identity.

Sacred Places

Where Legends Are Carved in Stone

One of Yakutia's most iconic landmarks is Lena Pillars National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Giant limestone cliffs rise up to 220 metres above the Lena River, creating one of the most spectacular landscapes in Siberia.

Another remarkable destination is the Kisilyakh Mountains, often called the "Yakutian Stonehenge". Mysterious rock formations resembling human figures are deeply connected with ancient Sakha beliefs and legends.

Experiences Found Almost Nowhere Else

Travel deep into one of the coldest inhabited regions on Earth, where winter temperatures can fall to −50°C and, in some areas, even −70°C.

Experience the Arctic landscape, frozen rivers, endless snow-covered wilderness and the extraordinary resilience of the people who have learned to live in one of the planet's most extreme environments.

A Meal That Tells a Story

Food is an essential part of discovering Sakha culture. Guests can experience authentic local cuisine and traditional northern delicacies, including dishes made from freshwater fish, horse meat, wild hare, squirrel, reindeer, moose and other locally sourced products. This is not simply a meal — it is an introduction to the traditional way of life and the relationship between the people and the land.

Ancient Connection With Nature

Hunting and Fishing as a Sacred Practice

For the Sakha people, hunting and fishing have traditionally been much more than ways of obtaining food. They are forms of interaction with nature, accompanied by rituals, blessings and respect for the spirits of the land, water and fire. Guests can experience traditional hunting and fishing practices, including munha, a traditional form of communal winter fishing.

These experiences offer a rare opportunity to step away from modern life and discover how generations of people have lived in harmony with the northern environment.

A Journey With a Traditional Guide

Darkhan Nikiforov

Your guide is Darkhan Nikiforov, a seventh-generation practitioner of Sakha shamanic traditions. His family has preserved these traditions through generations.

Today, Darkhan combines his knowledge of ancestral practices with his professional background in psychology and hypnosis, creating a unique approach to cultural and personal retreats.

The experience is designed not as entertainment, but as a deep cultural immersion — a chance to slow down, reconnect with nature and explore the traditions and worldview of the Sakha people.

Warm Welcome, Cold Land

Wrapped in Tradition

Traditional Sakha fur clothing has kept people warm through generations of brutal winters. Guests are welcomed into this way of life — dressed, fed and guided as one of the family, not as a passing tourist.

Every stay is an invitation into the wooden houses, hospitality and warmth of the Sakha people, set against the backdrop of one of the coldest places on Earth.
